No need for best two outta three I think. Just no calling out for same spot in same night. Operation street sweeper in effect and coming for the list.

Generally the rules dont allow the person who lost to call out the winner for 24/48 hours but could be called out by the person directly below them right there on the spot. That's how a person can fall several spots in a night if their car is having problems. Keeps the list shaken up.

I shot Adam, Dave, and Brandon a text thru phone and will see if they are interested and to hear their inputs or opinions. Sounds like it has the potential to have things interesting and shaking around

I'd game... but the "Street List" sounds like the "Street Outlaw" list to me! I'm not willing to pay someone $100 to go on a baby cruise one time.... personally I don't think that proves much. The big tire trailer cars running with the actual street cars seems wrong to me. Needs to be more rules in my opinion.
I'd like to see a class that requires cars to be driven to the track every race on a street tire. Should also be some sort of tire size and ET cap to make things fair. Then setup a few mandatory cruises throughout the year. If people were interested I could keep up the list standings on this forum. I'd be happy to run the "outlaw list" and just help organize the "Street list". That way no one thinks i'm tailoring some sort of race specifically for my car.

^^^^^^ probably valid concerns since it is a widely known fact a car with tires narrower than 14" will never hook on a prepped track and everyone who comes to KID lives in Wichita. Maybe we also go so far as to ban lexan windows, aluminum dashes, non-original type engines, Ladder bars, turbos, and ford 9s??? All sound legit but an ET cap?

All sounds pretty good to me. I do not like the "make a call out on the forum and respond in 2 days". I feel all call outs should be done by phone call or text and once confirmed they let the race master know. We cant always be trolling the forums and I feel we like each other enough to at least call each other. lol If we post the thread from last year it has all our cars and phone number listed already, for those of us that don't have them. I'm completely ok with Burgers for chief as long as he is glad to be at every event and/or has a 'assistant chief' for a fill in, as we all know other things in life do happen. Other then that I'm counting the days to opening day at the track!!!!

The more rules, the less that join and less racing that happens. And then you have the is it valid or is not per the rule. By keeping the rules limited the better turn out will be. This is not a daily driver class, but more of a can it be driven on the street class. I know of several 7 sec cars from Wichita that would pass almost every rule you guys throw at them. They are all metal, factory interior, small Dot radial tire, pump gas, must drive to the track, no lexan, stock style suspension you name it. On the topic of ET caps, why would we not want faster cars? Normally the faster the cars the better the race. At the MAKO race(Held@KID)last year I was by far the slowest car to enter the race. I was placed in the B class and was up against some of the nicest cars in the area, and most running 4.80's-5.30's (1/8th mile). My car was consistent and always hooked and I took first place that night. The higher horsepower cars have to get the power to the ground like the rest of us.

Brandon, we are talking about droping the callout on the forums all together and just calling out at the track. This way we can do a lot more racing and keep the list moving. If someone can't attend a day racing can still continue.

Hi, I had planned to get on the list last year but had issues and never even got my car to the track. Going to give it a try this year. Since I haven't raced on the list I guess you guys can take my comments as you wish. I like the callout on the forum for a couple of reasons. 1) don't want to worry about having everyone's number and trying to get a hold of them. 2) The callouts are public so there's no questions about callout 3) don't like callouts at the track, if im on the list and don't have callout I'd like to have the option to skip that race. A lot of people are not going to be the every fri or even every other fri racer.
I also don't like the drive to track. I can easily drive to the track in my car, but it's nice to have your trailer if you break, tools, etc., plus not practical for the out of town guys. For the cruise, how about just make it simple; if you question a guys ability to drive on the street; you and the car in question put down a $100 and BOTH make the cruise. If either car can't make it they lose their $100 and off the list for a week or so and have to make a another cruise to get back on.
One last thing, how about you don't call out a car, but rather a spot and can call up to two to three ahead. This way holders of those spots know they need to be there and the caller gets a race regardless of which car is in that spot at race time. No callout response required. If you call out a spot and the guys not there for a list race, you get his spot.
thx, Greg

Ryan, that is not a terrible idea except for the guys that do travel into town for this or guys that may have other obligations and such that would not HAVE to travel or be present if they do not have a call out. We all love racing, thats why we do it, but sometimes need a week off here or there... just my .02, not trying to be a pain. I agree completely with what you have stated about the rules.

I think you should have to make call outs thru the forums. That is how the public and new comers try to challenge and to get on the list. Not everyone will have everyone's contact info at first. Plus that let's us know also if two people have already been called out and have a race already set up. That way other racers know what they can plan for. And there has to be some sort of rules to follow to keep this a "street class" versus an "outlaw list". Just cause people Say their is a street car and CAN be driven on the street, doesn't mean they are a street car. Not many of those 7 or 8 second cars are willing to actually burn up the 12 dollar fuel, or have the cooling capabilities, or the charging system, or want to eat up their tires, to actually drive around on the street for a simple drive or to even LOOK for a street or stop light race. Just my opinion .

The Outlaw class did not work last year. I think we all can agree about that. Adam and a few others have a concern about a big tire no frills car coming in and cleaning house. I propose 2 lists,
#1 Daily driver/Weekend warrior: Sm tire, full interior, must drive to track, tag and insured, no fiberglass, no 4 link, no ladder bars, ect....
#2 Street class, more extreme, tag, insurance, 30 miles/$100 if questioned, any tire run, no lexan
Maybe from time to time the 2 classes battle it out.

I like Ryan's plan with the ability to move up quickly even if someone is gone. This will keep the list from becoming stagnant and not hold anyone back. Sounds good to me just let me know when!

Two classes are fine with me. How about we continue to forum call out as we did last year, but make all call outs effective next open track day, no more 14 day 'grace period', straight up next open list race day and if your car is down that event or you don't show then you loose your spot. Also just because someone doesn't 'accept' your forum call out, since not everyone is on the forum, does not mean you pass them in 2 days like last year, it means you be at the next list race ready to race them and if they are not there to race you THEN get there spot. Again just ideas for keeping it real... lol
