Today I was a guest of Tommaso Giartosio on Fahrenheit , Radio3's legendary cultural programme, to reflect on the "escape from Facebook" urged by Jaron Lanier in his pamphlet " Ten reasons to delete your social accounts immediately ". With me Nicola Zamperini, friend and author of Manual of digital disobedience , which I recommend you read. radio3_fahrenheit Lanier sees Facebook as an addictive drug and a tool of covert persuasion (referring to its advertising-based business model). But his exhortation to cancel en masse seems like a desperate cry in the desert to me (as well as an excellent way of self-promotion).
